2 consecutive days (Sun., Mon.) of N winds and significant thermals brought
many birders to CMRW in southwest Whitby, ON, to witness and assist in
counting migrating raptors. Indeed, in spite of sunny skies on Tuesday 10
or more of us were kept busy counting TVs, BEs and SSs--Jean Iron was
keeping the Tuesday records (I left at mid-day).
I will be away for over a week--I DO ASK THAT IF ANY OF YOU ARE THERE ON A
DAY WHERE NOONE IS REPORTING THAT YOU WILL TAKE A PAGE FROM THE WHITE BOX
AND KEEP HOURLY RECORDS ON IT, returning the page to the white box after.

Monday's numbers:: TV-189, OS-2, BE-4, NH-4, SS-89, CH-3, BW-!35,
RT-13 ,AK-25, ML-1, PG-1  TOTAL--466

Turn south from Victoria St. onto Hall's Rd., down toward the lakefront,
Parking in the second roadside parking area, walking east to the platform.
