It figures. Immediately after I sent out the note below, I received word
that the BROWN BOOBY was seen early this morning. Here is their post to
Cayugabirds NY. "Seen at 7:35 this morning. Spotted by Andrea Mott. Seen by
Janet Akin and Mark Miller. Heavy winds but it has stopped raining."
Presumably they saw it from Erie Basin Marina in Buffalo though I don't know
that for sure.

Good birding!

I have only heard from one birder who looked for the Brown Booby today.
That was around 1:00 and he noted that there was also a family from North
Carolina looking for the bird. He did not see the Booby and the family had
not seen it to that point. He noted that it was very windy on the tower,
which may have discouraged some people from looking due to excessive scope
shake. The bird could still be around as it often does not come to roost on
Donnelly's pier or the Reef Lighthouse until mid to late afternoon. There
may have been some birders looking on the Canadian side as well.

Good birding!

Willie
