Weather: Low hanging rain clouds with temperatures ranging from 7.6-8.4C. SW to W winds averaging 10 km/hr. Raptor Observations: Two local Bald Eagles flew over the marsh during the 10:00 hour, the only raptors observed today. Non-raptor Observations: American Coot 300, Mallard-87, Double-crested Cormorant-60, Canada Goose-53, Ring-billed Gull-31, Mute Swan-27, Red-winged Blackbird-27, Great Egret-25, Gadwall-16, Killdeer-11, Blue Jay-8, Wood Duck-6, Great Blue Heron-5, American Black Duck-3, Yellow-rumped Warbler-3, Herring Gull-2, American Goldfinch-2, Song Sparrow-2. Additional species included Pied-billed Grebe, Belted Kingfisher(M), Downy Woodpecker, and Common Grackle. Predictions: Partly cloudy skies with winds from the SW at 15-20 km/hr.
