This is a late post (sorry, I had no Internet access until now) saying that I saw the juvenile Pacific Loon on Lake Simcoe yesterday afternoon. This is likely the same one found by Josh Vandermeulen the day before. The weather was very rainy and windy, and almost all of the birds were very far out. Although I did not see any Little Gulls, I could see over 1000 Common Loons and about 10 Red-throated Loons and Red-necked Grebes.
I viewed the birds from Innisfil Beach Park, at the end of Innisfil Beach Rd (from Hwy 400 exit #85). Again sorry for the late posting of this update. I have not been able to charge any of my electronics until now. Good luck to anyone going out!
