We ran the gamut from overcast to clear and everything in between, even enduring another brief afternoon rain shower. The wind was moderate and out of the west throughout. Raptor Observations: It was another very good day of movement. We added our second Golden Eagle, three more Roughlegs, lots of buteos and a heaping helping of Turkey Vultures. Non-raptor Observations: Blackbirds were moving in the morning, American Crows all day. Predictions: Mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 40s, strong southwest wind and a slight chance of rain. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Jonathan Stein ([email protected]) Detroit River Hawk Watch information may be found at: http://www.drhawkwatch.org _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
