With sincere apologies for the delayed posting.

I was surprised but quite pleased to find two Hudsonian Godwits at
1200 today on the southern shore of the north Giroux Pond.

I was later joined by Kim Zbitnew and together we also identified a small
number of Dunlin, Pectoral Sandpipers and Greater Yellowlegs.

The Giroux Ponds are located on Giroux Road off Frank Kenny Rd near Navan,
southeast of Ottawa. Directions are also available from Neily's at
http://www.neilyworld.com/neilyworld/merblu11.htm

Both birds were still present when I departed at 1330 and I understand that
others were able to view the birds in the afternoon. Hopefully they will
linger.
