Found a lone Red-necked Grebe on Gull Lake, east of the Gull River mouth on
Sandy Bay Rd. yesterday around noon. Today, the first white-winged gull
appeared at the Haliburton dump...a dark, first winter bird. Observed around
1:30 pm.

Gull Lake is S of Minden. Take Hwy 35 S from Minden to Sandy Bay Rd. Bird was
about 100m off shore immediately after the lake comes into view. Photos taken.

Haliburton Dump is W of the village of Haliburton, off Cty Rd 21. Take
Industrial Park Rd. N to the landfill.

Good birding,
