Ontbirders, An Elegant Tern was seen on the New York side of the Niagara River this afternoon. The bird was around the south end of Grand Island. I believe that it was only seen in US waters and probably would not have been visible from Ontario, but was nonetheless very close to Ontario and I imagine is likely to cross the border at some point if it sticks around.
