Last weekend, Jeff Haffner got a brief glimpse of a duck he was almost certain was a Eurasian Wigeon. Today the bird re-appeared and in full sun, it could be identified positively as a Eurasian Wigeon. It is at the south wetland on Kaiser Crossroad, where you may also see the flock of 30+ Bonaparte’s Gulls that flew in two days ago.
DIRECTIONS; From Picton, take Bridge Street/Glenora Road to Lake on the Mountain Road/County Road 7. Take County Road 7 to Kaiser Crossroad, then turn right. The Eurasian Wigeon is on the second wetland on your left. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
