Today at about 4:30 p.m. I located a flock of about 5,000 Greater Snow Geese in a flooded field just north of Highway #43 about 6 kilometres west of Winchester, Ontario. They were predominantly white-morph birds but with a few blue-morph individuals.
Directions: From Ottawa take Highway #31 south to Winchester and turn right (west) onto Highway #43. Proceed west for about 6 kilometres. Alternately take Highway #416 to the Kemptville exit and proceed east on Highway #43 for 17 kilometres.
