Today from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. I birded the lakeshore parks from Arkendo Park (Joshua Creek to St. Lawrence Park (Credit River) and recorded 2820 Red-necked Grebes and 106 Horned Grebes. The largest numbers of Red-necks (1150) were off Watersedge Park. The relative distribution of the grebes will be posted on e.bird. Also there were hundreds of swallows feeding along lakeshore just west of the Credit River, 99% Trees but a few each of Barn, Bank and Northern Rough-winged Swallow. Also present Caspian, Forester's and Common Terns.

Directions: At the east end Arkendo Park is located on the Joshua Creek just east of the intersection of Lakeshore and Winston Churchill. At the west end St. Lawrence Park is located at the south end of Hurontario Street south of the Lakeshore.
