Today I saw a Ruddy Turnstone at Sibbald Provincial Park on Lake Simcoe near
Sutton. Seems late for a spring migrant on this first day of summer. It
could be a failed breeder and early fall migrant. Reports indicate a very
late cold spring in parts of the Central and High Arctic. However,
Southampton Island in northern Hudson Bay had an early or normal melt.

Good birding,
