The Least Bittern offered super views today. Closer to the parking lot, there was a flock of warblers and vireos that included Red-eyed Vireo, Warbling Vireo, Cape May, Wilson's, Palm and Nashville Warblers.
Directions: Colonel Sam Park is at the base of Kipling Avenue in Etobicoke. Drive to the southernmost parking lot. Walk towards the car turnaround area and proceed down the main path (where the yellow gate is). Close to the marina, a smaller branch of the path veers right. About 100 feet in there is a pond on your right. A little further on, there is what looks like a second pond but is actually an inlet, with a white buoy offshore. This inlet is where the bittern was.
