Patience paid off - 5th trip to Moodie Pond around 5:30 today for a brief
couple of minutes 2 GWFGeese paraded past a number of die-hard birders
determined not to leave without a great view -the lighting was right and the
birds were seen and then they joined the hundreds of geese leaving the pond and
flew south. A few of us remained and another GWF Goose was found on the far
shore again offering great views as the Canada Geese left all around it until
it remained on the shore on its own.

Thanks to all the trip leaders this weekend who worked so hard to find birds
for us newbies despite high water, heat, biting ladybugs, black flies and
mosquitoes. Your dedication is outstanding. Thanks OFO for a great weekend!

Will try to post pics to our blog in the next day or so - we are still on the
road...
