Observation start time: 06:45:00
Observation end time: 17:15:00
Total observation time: 10.5 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Bob Pettit, Dennis Patrick, Gwen Patrick, Jim McCoy

Visitors:
Four folks from Leamington spent some time up on the tower this afternoon,
along with 5 other people who were coming for the view of the marsh.

Weather:
Winds ranged from NW to SW, with partial cloud for most of the day.
Visibility was good, going up to 28km.

Raptor Observations:
Today went much the same way as yesterday, with Sharp-shinned Hawks
starting off the morning, followed by American Kestrels and good numbers of
Turkey Vultures. We had over 1000 Vultures fly by in an hour and the total
at the end of the day was over 4000. There was nice variety with 11
species.

Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jays, Goldfinches, Blackbirds and Starlings were flying in large
flocks this morning, along with 20 Killdeer. Both Gold-crowned and
Ruby-crowned Kinglets were seen in the bushes around the tower. 2 Monarchs.
See today's eBird list
http://ebird.org/ebird/canada/view/checklist?subID=S20184469

Predictions:
Winds from the N and NE at 10km/h with partial cloud. We can expect a lot
of Turkey Vultures again with hopefully some buteos in the mix.
