I already reported a 1st-winter LBBG yesterday at the Haliburton landfill...my
first in the county. I zipped home after finding it to grab my camera and
document the sighting but could not relocate the bird. I went back to the dump
today with camera in hand in hopes of finding it again. No first winter bird
but there was a 3rd-winter bird in moult present instead! None observed in 30
years of living in Haliburton...then 2 birds in 2 days. Go figure! Bald
Eagles are also starting to show up at the dump regularly now.

Haliburton landfill is located W of the village of Haliburton, off of Cty Rd 21
on Industrial Park Rd. Dump is about 1km N on Industrial Park Rd on the right.

Cheers,
