Myself and Nigel Shaw just relocated the Pacific Loon previously reported by Josh V. at Minets Point Park in Barrie at 2PM this afternoon and also found an adult essentially still in full breeding plumage among the hundreds of Common Loons and 2-3 Red-throated Loons.
The juvenile Black-legged Kittiwake was also showing well swimming ~100m offshore of the marina breakwater as seen from the North end of Centennial Park with Bonaparte's Gulls. We counted at least 16 Little Gulls feeding on shiners, mostly adults but also a couple of second year birds and a heavily marked juvenile. One of the adult Great Black-backed Gulls was colour banded (black and white) but we were unable to get the band combo before it was flushed by people walking along the beach, so it may be worth keeping an eye out for.
