Observation start time: 07:15:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8.75 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Claude Radley, Janina Radley

Weather:
Winds came from the SW and S and with no clouds, the sun warmed things up
to 13C.

Raptor Observations:
The morning started off slowly and then there was an increase of birds
between 11 and 12, with more than half of the Red-tailed Hawks of the day
coming through. It was nice to see a Merlin, 8 Harriers and a light-morph
Rough-legged Hawk! Turkey Vultures continued migrating with 130.

Non-raptor Observations:
There was a flurry of small passerines (Goldfinches, Cedar Waxwings) in the
morning and the American Crows started coming later in the afternoon. A
male Bufflehead spent the day at the edge of the marsh. See today's eBird
list http://ebird.org/ebird/canada/view/checklist?subID=S20452484

Predictions:
Winds from the SE in the morning, switching to the N in the afternoon with
showers through the day.
