Algonquin Visitor Centre (km 43 on Highway 60):
Building (including bookstore, exhibits, restaurant, viewing deck and access
to feeders) will be closed for maintenance work from Wednesday (March 25) to
Tuesday (March 31), inclusive.

Algonquin Park OFO Field Trip:
This trip will be on Saturday (April 18) and will start at the Visitor
Centre (km 43) at 9 am. Park use permits will be available at the Visitor
Centre before 9 am. Please note that an earlier printed OFO trip list
showing the trip as being on April 11 and starting at the West Gate was in
error.

Blue Spruce Resort on Oxtongue Lake is offering birders attending the
Algonquin Park OFO Trip a 10 per cent discount on accommodation and half

DIRECTIONS:
 
Algonquin Provincial  Park is three hours north of Toronto, via Highways
400, 11 and 60. Follow the signs which start in Toronto on Highway 400.
>From Ottawa, take Highway 17 to Renfrew, then follow Highway 60 to the
park. Kilometre markers along Highway 60 in the Park go from the
West Gate (km 0) to near the East Gate (km 56).
