Given the mild temps yesterday evening 3/26/15 I went out at dusk listening for woodcock. While I didn¹t hear any, I did see one take flight from a mostly snow covered field close to the road. Earlier in the late afternoon yesterday a migrant Red-shouldered Hawk was hunting from wires along Rt 43 between Merrickville and Kemptville.
