I found a Piping Plover on the beach at the Ferry terminal in Leamington this
evening. This is a different bird than the one on April 18. It has blue over
black bands on the right leg and an orange flag on the upper leg. The left leg
has a black band. I was not able to see any numbers on the bands. This bird may
be still present in the morning for those who missed the first one. There was
also a report of two Piping Plovers at Black Willow in the Park at Pelee this
afternoon.
Good birding
