Today at about noon I observed two Upland Sandpipers in a field along Campbell
Road northeast of Smith's Falls, Ontario. This is a traditional location to
see them in the spring. The pair was at the back of the field and difficult to
see except that they occasionally took short flights. In the field there were
also Vesper and Savannah Sparrows and Eastern Meadowlarks.

Directions:

>From Smith's Falls: proceed northeast on Roger Stevens Dr. (County Road 4)
>for 17.9 kilometres and then turn left on Montague Boundary Road (boundary
>with City of Ottawa). After about 300 metres turn left on Campbell Road and
>proceed for 2.1 kilometres to the field at a spot on your right about 200
>metres past Bennett Road (there is a big ash tree here).

>From Ottawa: Proceed south on Highway 416 and take exit # 49. Turn right on
>Roger Stevens Dr. When you come to North Gower, continue on Roger Stevens for
>another 18.6 kilometres to Montague Boundary Road and proceed as noted above.
