Birders: Two male Yellow-headed Blackbirds are currently present south of Mitchell's Bay, along the east side of Lake St. Clair, in the municipality of Chatham-Kent. This is in the same location as in 2014. They have been there for a couple of days. They are quite easily heard and seen right from the road side. Directions: From Chatham, take Hwy 40 (St. Clair St) north towards Wallaceburg. At the intersection of Hwy 40 and C-K Road 42 (Electric Line), turn west and continue to C-K Road 43 (Bear Line) and jog to the south (left) briefly before continuing on C-K Road 42 (where it turns in to Bay Line) towards Mitchell's Bay. At C-K Road 34 (Winter Line), turn south (left) as far as Angler Line. Go west (right) on Angler Line and continue until you get almost to the lake. On the north side of Angler Line is a small wetland, where the birds can be heard and seen.
