Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Kory Renaud

Visitors:
A group of geo-cachers visited the tower as part of their challenge, and a
frequent visitor got to see the migration for most of the morning.

Weather:
Another hot and humid day, with a small breeze from the SW. There was still
a haze around the marsh, restraining visibility to around 4km for most of
the day.

Raptor Observations:
Osprey, Northern Harriers, American Kestrels and a Merlin were seen today,
totalling 13 birds. A resident Osprey also spent most of the day catching
fish in the marsh.

Non-raptor Observations:
The morning was busy with non-raptor migration, bringing 390 Cedar
Waxwings, a nice mix of swallow species, 27 Chimney Swifts and 9
Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, among others. Dragonflies were abundant again
today with 12 Twelve-spotted Skimmers, 78 Black Saddlebags, and 8 Common
Green Darners. 3 Monarchs were seen. For today's complete list of sightings
see today's eBird checklist

Predictions:
Another day much like today, with a chance of showers. Winds should begin
from the west and switch to the NE in the afternoon.
