Weather:
A near instant replay of Wednesday with S to SSW to SW winds with 191 hawks
counted in total. But having lots of people stop by made it most
enjoyable. Not a cloud in the sky today.

Raptor Observations:
Highlights were that most of the sharpies were going through just above the
Elm in the bushlot straight out from the observation mound and then
cruising right over the counters giving some great views. The bulk of
today's flight was Sharpies (137) and American Kestrels (42)....along with
a few Osprey (3), some Northern Harriers (7) and a couple of Merlin.

Non-raptor Observations:
Warblers...Magnolia, Redstart, Black & White, Blackpoll, Bay Breasted,
Black-Thr. Green...along with 4 species of vireos with Warbling,
Solitary, Red-eyed and Philadelphia, E. Phoebe, B. Kingfisher, Chimney
Swift, Great Blue Heron, Gray Catbird, 22 Killdeer (all together), RT
Hummingbirds,
Red-bellied WP, Downy WP, Hairy WP, Chimney Swifts, N. Flicker,
Gray-cheeked Thrush, Swainson's Thrush, Cedar Waxwings, House Wren
Caspian Terns (2), 40 Canada Geese on the beach and a Song Sparrow.

42 Monarchs counted from the mound

Saddlebags
Green darners
Cabbage white
Orange sulphur
Shadow darner
12 spotted Kimmer
Silver spotted skipper
Summer asure

Predictions:
Likely much the same flight again for Friday with rain coming in part way
through the day. Saturday is looking a bit messed up...BUT Sunday looks
like it could be a decent day for a better flight.
