I don't know about you but I'm sure tired of all this blue sky, warm sun and calm east wind. Raptor Observations: Besides a brief late morning burst of broadwings, it was a pretty quiet outing. Non-raptor Observations: Blue Jay (8000+), Pied-billed Grebe (6), American Coot (6), Wood Duck (4), Monarch (148) Predictions: Partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 70s and moderate east wind. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Jonathan Stein ([email protected]) Detroit River Hawk Watch information may be found at: http://www.drhawkwatch.org Site Description: The Detroit River Hawk Watch (a joint venture of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge and its Friends group, the International Wildlife Refuge Alliance) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
