The Hudsonian Godwit that I believe was first spotted a few days ago, was seen late this evening in Lake Pond (within the Point Pelee Marsh). The bird was feeding on a small muddy island west of the entrance to East Cranberry Pond.
A canoe or kayak would be needed to see this bird. Canoe rentals are available at the marsh boardwalk as well as Pelee Wings just outside of the park. Hopefully the bird sticks around until the OFO Conference this weekend. Good Birding!
