Weather:
Missing in action of late, a resplendent sun returned, vanquishing the
gloomy gray clouds that glutted the recent sky. Only a thin smear of
distant cirrus stood between us and beautiful blue as far as the eye could
see. Unseasonably warm, temperatures reached the mid 60s by late afternoon
and a gusting westerly wind helped keep us nice and cool. More appealing
November weather I can scarcely remember.

Raptor Observations:
An early morning Rough-legged Hawk started the day off on the right foot.
But the fortuitous early momentum quickly abated as we settled into
observing a slow but steady trickle of passing migrants. Mostly very low
and well to our north, a procession of accipiters, buteos, harriers and
eagles wandered by continuously up until the last two hours when activity
plummeted to a veritable standstill. Always crowd pleasers, four more
Golden Eagles made their way across midday, offering up lengthy and lavish
looks.

Non-raptor Observations:
AMERICAN BITTERN (1, crossed directly in front of us late, headed
northwest), Horned Lark (80+), Bufflehead (6), American Crow (230+),
Red-winged Blackbird (150+), Tree Swallow (30+), House Finch (9), Pine
Siskin (1), American Pipit (1), Hairy Woodpecker (1), Bonaparte's Gull (4),
Forster's Tern (15+), Monarch (4)

Predictions:
Sunny with warm temps and light south wind.
