Subject: Pakenham Bullocks Oriole present today
Date: Wed, Dec 30, 2015 12:33 PM

Finally got up to see the oriole. Saw for five minutes only as it fed in the
apple tree beside the school bus parking area at the end of Dalkeith. First
flew into the apple tree across the tracks to the southwest. Then immediately
flew across to feed in the apple tree by the buses. Then flew into the spruce
trees at the end of Dalkeith and we lost sight of it. Now well after 12 noon
and has not returned.

Directions: From Ottawa take Hwy 417 west to Kinburn Side Road. After exiting
turn left and follow to CR 29. Turn left and as you enter the village of
Pakenham watch for Waba Road on your right. Turn right and then left on
Dalkeith St.
>From the south From 401 take 115/35 north to become highway 7 east and turn
>onto Townline at Carlton Place . This becomes Road 29 as it goes north. In
>Pakenham turn left at Jessie Street and Dalkeith is at the end of Jessie.
>Parking is available at that intersection. There is one apple tree across the
>rail line(now covered in snow) and the other favourite feeding one is beside a
>parking area for school buses.
