Hey,

I finally confirmed breeding of this species in central Oxford this morning,
having two adults and a begging juvenile along Domtar Line, north of the
Carmeuse Quarry near Beachville. Repeated sightings in this area strongly
suggested resident birds, likely nesting within the quarries themselves.

This is the second record of this kind for Oxford, with resident birds often
reported by Ken Dance from the Drumbo area, in the north-east part of the
county.

Also found along Domtar Line, the resident pair of Peregrine Falcons
successfully fledged two young from the Peregrine Foundation-supplied nesting
structure. It has been quite a change in a few decades locally, with Bald
Eagle, Osprey, Peregrine Falcon, Common Raven and [likely] Merlin all now
breeding residents.

Cheers,
