After a spell of very humid and hot weather last night the winds shifted to the
NW bringing much cooler temperatures and dryer air to this region.

This morning in my yard there was evidence of a good movement of warblers with
15 species and 3 vireo species, Scarlet tanager, Rose-breasted grosbeak ,
purple finch also observed.

The breeding Veery's were present as well as 3 Swanson's Thrushes', migrants
or simply breeding wanderers ? I observed 1 adult Gray-cheeked Thrush a bit of
a surprise it seems a bit early but perhaps it is a fail nester.

Sundridge Ontario located on hwy 11 north
