At 5:15 pm today, Bonnie and I had a Common Ringed Plover fly past us on the 9th floor. Confirmed by its distinctive flight call. I damn near fell off the balcony to our surprise when we heard it call. I know everyone is in Toronto looking at a different one as we speak. This bird flew from the direction of the Little River area and flew past directly crossing the Detroit River towards Gross Pointe. The bird was eye level to us less than 40 ft away. we are located on the 8000 block of Riverside dr. E. Windsor looking towards Peche Island.
