Mostly blue skies with a fresh wind from the NE all day. Temps in the seventies, and with the breeze, a cool feel to the day. Raptor Observations: The broadwings are coming! The broadwings are coming! That seemed to be the order of the day as single birds, then later small lines of juvenile Broad-winged Hawks gave hints of things to come. American Kestrels were moving today as well. Turkey Vultures gave the impression that they were on the move too rather than just riding the winds. Non-raptor Observations: Predictions: Tomorrow looks to be more of the same with clear skies and slightly decreased winds turning from North to East. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Jonathan Stein ([email protected]) Detroit River Hawk Watch information may be found at: http://www.drhawkwatch.org _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
