Observation start time: 07:45:00
Observation end time: 12:00:00
Total observation time: 4.25 hours

Official Counter: Jim Dunn

Observers: Bob Johnstone, Carol Parafenko, Cary Graham, Don Taylor,
                  Ernie Gribble

Visitors:
Thanks to the crew with counter Jim D. along with Bob J., Ernie G., Don T.,
Cary G. and Carol P.

Weather:
Temps were slightly cooler hitting a high of 26C by noon. Pressure was
rising slightly and there was a mix of sun and cloud especially as the
morning wore on. Winds were light from the NE for most of the morning then
falling off and becoming somewhat variable by noon and basically shutting
down the movement of the raptors.

Raptor Observations:
A total of 34 birds today with a single N. Harrier, Sharpies (17), a lone
Cooper's Hawk, Broadwings (4), A. Kestrel (7), Merlin (3) and another
Peregrine...our 3rd for the season.

Non-raptor Observations:
Some good passerines reported today with YB Cuckoo, Chestnut-sided Warbler,
Baltimore Oriole, Red-eyed Vireo, Wood Thrush, Chimney Swifts, Red-bellied
Woodpecker, Blue Jays, Gray Catbirds and several RT Hummingbirds.

Predictions:
Well, Saturday is looking somewhat DAMP....but with winds forecast to be
quite strong from the SW (providing a serious updraft up the cliff) there
could be some movement of species like Bald Eagles, Osprey and Peregrines
right along the cliff if it doesn't rain too hard.

Sunday is looking good with winds forecast moderate from the NW and lots of
sunshine. Should get at least a bit of a raptor migration going.
