This morning just after 9:00 am until approximately 10:00 am I had a nice movement of birds in my Haliburton Village backyard. I first notice Golden-crowned Kinglets mainly in my Tamarack or Larch Trees and soon saw Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Palm and Yellow-rumped Warblers as well, they were feeding and moving very quickly.
In the grass and natural vegetation at the side and back of the yard I had White-crowned and White-throated Sparrows, adult and juveniles and a few other sparrows I will have to ID later from photos. A few American Robins were also feeding in the Mountain Ash trees that still have lots of berries. I am located at Halbiem Cres off county road 21 (formerly Hwy 21) in Haliburton Village.
