Kit McCann found a Cattle Egret this afternoon at Hillman Marsh Shorebird Cell and we are currently looking at it. It looks pretty comfortable and will probably be around if anyone's interested in chasing it, at least for a good part of the day.
Hillman Marsh is on Mersea Rd 2, about 6km east of Leamington in Essex County. The shorebird cell is about a few hundred metres south of the main parking lot. Good birding!
