Nick Escott and I birded along the Ottawa River today. A male Long-tailed Duck was mid-river just south of Britannia water treatment plant. We then found a Nelson's Sparrow in long weeds/grass beside the river near the NE end of Andrew Haydon Park. Both spots are about 10 km west of Ottawa along the river.
