Observation start time: 08:30:00
Observation end time: 15:30:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Sean Jenniskens

Observers: Jim McCoy, Kit McCann, Larry Ludwicki, Michael Williamson

Visitors:
Larry L. made the trip for the day. And Kit M. finally managed his N.
Goshawk!

Weather:
Winds started out from the NW, which slowly shifted more Westerly, then
soon enough almost to the straight South.

Raptor Observations:
Much better than the last two days! Still no huge movements, but there were
birds moving at least! The hour between 11-12 provided the most, and had
more birds than the past two days combined! The highlight of the day was
the Northern Goshawk that came by around 12:30. And unlike the past two
days, only one hourly datasheet went bird-less, and that was the last
half-hour of the count!

Non-raptor Observations:
First thing in the morning I was greeted by a late Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
calling and gleening the shrubs by the tower. Migration-wise, we had 287
American Crows, 101 Horned Larks, 82 American Robins, 38 American Pipits,
and 226 American Goldfinches. The same Orange-crowned Warbler showed itself
towards the end of the count. For the full eBird checklist, go to
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32585245

Predictions:
Mostly sunny skies, and South winds...Likely to be another slow day!
