Just before noon today at Minet's Point, Barrie, we saw at close range Great Black-backed Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, a second-year Glaucous Gull, and a juvenile Iceland Gull. The latter was standing at the water's edge, giving us great views of its silvery patterned upper parts. Still lots of Red-necked Grebes and a scattering of Common Loons around, but we did not see any other loons (although waters were pretty choppy). _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
