West of Strongville Road and north of Conc. 9 today, about 4-500 Sandhill Cranes well back in the fields. One light-phase Rough-legged hawk hunting on farmland 2 km south of there. No sign of Snowy Owls.
Directions: Take Strongville Road south off Hwy 26 about 13 km east of Stayner; search local roads on flat area of open farmland.
