They were happy to see all 3 local adult Bald Eagles. Weather: South winds all day, with mostly cloudy skies. Raptor Observations: Only migrant of the day was a single adult Sharp-shinned Hawk that came right by the tower fairly close. This may end up being the last bird of the season if tomorrows predictions are correct! Non-raptor Observations: A good flight of Horned Larks went over today, with 933 being counted. There were over 40 American Robins feeding around the parking lot all day, and likely the same Wilson's Warbler as last week was spotted again. For the full eBird checklist, go to http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32788646 Predictions: Moderate South winds with rain expected for the duration of the count period. Doesn't look like it will be a good day for the last count of the season! ======================================================================== Report submitted by Sean Jenniskens ([email protected]) Holiday Beach Conservation Area information may be found at: http://hbmo.ca/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
