Hello all. I just had a Black-headed Gull on the ice in the Welland canal viewed from the parking lot of the Quebec and Ontario Paper Company. This is one of the spots the Slaty-backed Gull has been seen. It flew south at about 11:00am. Seems to be a good spot to keep checking. A few poor photos in the link below. http://ebird.org/ebird/canada/view/checklist/S33743613
Directions. >From Thorold go east on 58 over the Canal and turn right onto Davis Rd then >right again onto Niagara Falls Rd. Go to the end and turn right and continue >to the end and into the parking area for the Quebec and Ontario Paper Company. Good birding.
