I observed and photographed a male King Eider in subadult plumage at Colonel
Samuel Smith Park this afternoon. It was feeding close to shore in a bay on
the north side of the southern peninsula, opposite the Marina, with a group
of Scaup, Red-breasted Mergansers and other duck. There was also a Peregrine
Falcon harassing gulls and resting on the Marina slips. I will submit photos
of the King Eider to OFO for potential posting.

Colonel Samuel Smith Park is located at the foot of Kipling Avenue in
Etobicoke.
