This afternoon during heavy rain we saw and heard an Upland Sandpiper on a fence rail inside the wire fence of the Nature Conservancy, Napanee Plains Alvar. Also there were, at least 4 Brown Thrashers singing in the area as well. These birds were seen from Nugent Rd about 1 km. northeast of Regional Rd. 27.
