Hi folks.... ( please do not complain that is HOT...it is, but enjoy it!)
   This morning Dan Salisbury and Luc Fazio led a Riverwood bird walk. 23 
partecipants took part in the walk. Here are the highlights
  1) Harris's Sparrow, found by Rob Palin and Mike Norton, where the Culham 
trail goes under the Hiway 403. Where there are some 20 Cliff Swallows nesting 
under the bridge. The main group of birders did NOT see the HASP after it flew 
west across the Credit River.
   2) new arrivals, some will nest at Riverwood,..
        -3 Ruby Throated Hummingbird ( males on territories)
        -2 Indigo Buntings, ( males on territories )
        -2 Scarlet Tanagers ( males that used to nest here, now just passing 
thru)
        - 3 GC Flycatchers, 2 Eastern Kingbird, 1 Eastern Wood Peewee, ( along 
with EA Phoebe will all nest here)
    3) nesting RB Grosbeaks and Baltimore Orioles

   Our next three bird walks will be this coming Saturday May 20, Victoria Day 
Monday May 23, and Wednesday May 27. All walks start at 8:30 am from main 
Parking lot and are open to the public. 
    Dan and I are volunteers!!

Samuel Smith Park ( Kipling Spit ) on Sunday the 14th of May, see EBIRD reports.

  Directions:  to Riverwood.
Google The Riverwood Conservancy for other walks, info and maps. 
But to reach it go south on Mavis, from 403, to Burnhamthorpe Rd. Turn west or 
right, follow Burnhamthorpe to The Riverwood entrance on the north side of 
Credit Woodland, just before the Credit River OR ..OR just past the Go Station 
parking building.
