Weather: Winds were light from the NE to start and then to E and all the way around to SE which basically shut down the flight. Temp started at 7C and reaching a high of 23C. Cloud cover only got to a max of 30%. Raptor Observations: A bit bigger flight today with a total of 90 birds tallied. Lots of Sharpies (48) and Kestrels (20) along with a small number of Broadwings (16), a single Cooper's Hawk, a few N. Harriers (3) and a couple of Merlins. Non-raptor Observations: On the non-raptor front... Am. Robins, Blue Jays, Eastern Kingbird, Gray Catbird, WB Nuthatch, some good warblers... Chestnut-sided, Canada, Magnolia, Am. Redstart, Black and White, Black-throated Blue, Nashville and Bay-breasted, a few woodpeckers... Pileated, Downy, Red-bellied, N. Flickers and a couple of YB Sapsuckers, Flycatchers... Least, Great-crested and Eastern Pewee, Swainson's Thrush, Eastern Towhee, RT Hummingbirds, Brown Thrasher, Red-eyed Vireo, BC Chickadee, Cedar Waxwings, Great Blue Heron and House Wren.
