Weather: Hot and humid yet again with the ongoing September heat wave over the entire region. Temp to a high of 32C and light and variable winds. Raptor Observations: Another smallish flight for this time of the season with only 393 birds counted. Most of this flight was composed of Sharpies (202) and Am. Kestrels (143) along with Osprey (5), N. Harriers (27), Cooper's Hawks (2), Merlin (2) and Peregrines (2). Just 10 Broadwings today. Non-raptor Observations: A few non-raptors sightings were reported... Pileated and Downy Woodpeckers and several Am. Robins along with increasing numbers of Blue Jays with 1,268.
