There was a single female Black Scoter present on Little Boshkung Lake near noon today. I alerted Brian Pfrimmer, who also saw the bird. We could not find it again on our return trip from Bracebridge, but it could easily still be in the area.
Little Boshkung Lake is located a few kilometres west of Hwy 35 (Carnarvon) on Hwy 118. Carnarvon is north of Minden.
