I just located a very distant species of Alcid on the Ottawa River. It was
flying from east to west, first seen near Britannia Pier then straight out
from Andrew Haydon east (ie the "fulmar spot") It landed in the surf and I
have not refound it. Time of observation was 1:20 PM

Directions: Andrew Haydon Park is accessed via Carling Ave. walk to east
end of park and scan out in surf of Ottawa River
