Hans van der Zweep and I saw the bird later in the afternoon but it was feeding in the river in the fast water. It would fly to the end of the peninsula to the west and float downriver about 100 yards then repeat the process. It was within 50--100 feet of shore.
Brian Morin Directions: From Highway 2 west of Cardinal, head S along Galop Canal Rd to its dead end. Walk S and check the river to the west as far as you can walk.
